If you want to experience pristine white sand beaches and islands, El Nido in Palawan comes highly-recommended by local and international travelers as the no. 1 choice to go to when in the Philippines. El Nido which means "the nest" was given by the Spanish, who arrived in Palawan in the 18th century. El Nido is located at the most northern tip of Palawan Island.
To reach El Nido you can either take a direct flight or fly to Puerto Princesa City then ride a bus or van going to El Nido.
Van Rate is 500 PHP per person which leaves every 2 hours.
Room Rate starts from 500 and above.
Before the pandemic the island hopping tour rates are;
Tour A Cost: 1200 PHP for the group tour.
Tour B Cost: 1300 PHP for the group tour.
Tour C Cost: 1400 PHP for the group tour.
Tour D Cost: 1200 PHP for beach lovers/avoids crowds.
*Compulsory 200 pesos environmental fee
*150 pesos for a mask and snorkel rental, (best to bring your own)
*lunch is included
But now that the pandemic happened, the tour costs at least 1,300 PHP per person and it includes private boat, licensed tour guide, environmental fee, lagoon fee, travel itinerary pass and QR code I.D. And compared to last years, island hopping today includes 3-4 islands only and lunch is not included.
My experience in El Nido was fun and memorable because I spent it with my loved ones. Island hopping and just strolling the town of El Nido at night. Even though we live here in Palawan, visiting El Nido always make us feel refreshed and recharge. It makes us forget and escape the busy city life and experience paradise even for a few days.
Want to recharge or just enjoy? Try El Nido, it’s worth it
